First and foremost, THANK YOU to all the TSA agents. I spoke with one as I went through security today and expressed my gratitude for his dedication to the job and that I was happy to see everyone back at work, to which he replied with a big smile, “we never left”. It is illegal to give TSA agents gifts, which I understand, but please make sure to say THANK YOU if you are traveling!
I almost had my first major “IDIOT” experience on this trip (I know it’ll happen sooner or later). I checked my bag as I always do for international travel, using the kiosks. I slid my passport in, the machine scanned it, found my booking, asked a few questions and I was on my way. I was on my way almost to security when I realized I had left my passport in the scanner! NOOOOO!!!! Luckily, the airport is pretty quiet and it was still there when I returned. WHEW, crisis averted.
Now, about the terminal. This is my first time being in Terminal 3 @ the Sky Harbor airport since the renovations were complete. I believe they’ve been done for around two weeks now and I must say, it is NICE!! Well done. The Delta Sky Lounge is also very nice, but then again, when are free food and drinks not nice 🙂 !

No, actually NOT due to weather. Apparently there was a mechanical problem with the plane, so they are switching us to another aircraft which results in a 2+ hr delay. I’m now scheduled to arrive in Amsterdam (AMS) at 9:08am and am supposed to depart at 9:15am for Luxembourg. Assuming we arrive on-time, that gives me 7 minutes to de-board the plane in AMS, go through customs, and run to the gate. Want to place any bets?
I think I’ll have a drink…
and some food

Packing packing packing. It takes me about an hour to pack for a week long international trip and now I’m done. My youngest kid keeps asking where I’m going this week, so for his benefit (hi Ty!!), I am on my way to Luxembourg City, Luxembourg.

I’m tired of facegram, intsabook, twitter, etc so I’ve decided to capture life in my own blog, finally using the domain I purchased back in the early 2000s. I will slowly import past memories here, but the main reason to get this up and running is to have a central place to capture pictures from my upcoming trips to Luxembourg, London and Tokyo.
I’m trying out various wordpress templates, I’m sure I’ll switch a few times before I find one I want to keep. Until then, sorry for the mess but enjoy the show!
